Meet Dr. Richard Dickinson, Sr.

Dr. Richard Dickinson has been practicing dentistry since 1973. His main focus has been to encourage patients to understand the whole body connection: that overall health and oral health work together. He has received great satisfaction from solving challenging bite and occlusion issues and helping patients achieve better function by providing excellent dental care.

Originally from New York, Dr. Dickinson earned his Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from Marist College and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Georgetown University School of Dentistry. He moved to Vermont shortly after graduating from dental school, and has been providing comprehensive dentistry to the Franklin County area ever since.

In addition to his extensive clinical experience, Dr. Dickinson has expanded his knowledge and skills via continuing education through the Dawson Institute of Occlusal Studies, Aligntech Institute with Invisalign®, HOYA ConBio College of Clinical Laser Dentistry, and Boston University’s Schilder course series on endodontics.

Dr. Dickinson currently resides in St. Albans Town with his wife Eileen (Lynn) Dickinson on their family farm. Lynn is active in the community and local/state government. Children Grace and Rich are dentists, and his oldest daughter lives in the DC area with her husband and three boys. In his free time, Dr. Dickinson enjoys skiing up at Jay Peak and is passionate about health and exercise.
